ABB Ability™ History 4.5
Released in March 2013
- OPC UA Server that contains node management from History Classes and Equipment model, Data Access (DA) functionality from any class or equipment model properties, and Historical Data Access (HDA) support from variables that collect process history.
- OPC client for UA Data Access (DA).
- OPC client enhancements to support HDA as primary data acquisition interface, DA write support for string data types, buffering and asynchronous option for DA write.
- Equipment model enhancement that enables global properties for equipment, abstract equipment types, equipment definition inheritance, support for some complex data types such as color and array data type, and object type based reference collections that provide functionality such as multiple paths for a tag.
- Scenario support for history tables has been enhanced.
- Cyber security include preshared public keys for VtrinLib connects against man-in-the-middle attack, end-to-end security for OPC DA and HDA servers (client impersonation and tag by tag authorization), and user profile based audit logging (disable logging for system interfaces).
- Performance improvements contain speeding up startup after abrupt system shutdown, Virtual History Interface (VHI) head table optimization by removing unnecessary index updates, RTDB core improvement to support event triggering by any table index, and cleanup to reduce the runtime size of Variable instances.
- Portability improvements contain Linux and ARM support for the core RTDB.
